A remote setpoint gets its input from an analog input located on 4060 I/O card. The setpoint is calculated by linearly scaling the output between the SP HI weight/time and the SP LO weight/time, depending on where the input is between the Input HI% and Input LO% values, which are expressed in percent of range. The result is applied to the Rate Setpoint if the remote setpoint Enable parameter is set. The input range is determined by the Analog Input Range parameter. The Remote AVG parameter is the number of samples the I/O card averages to produce a value.
The Remote SP Window If the value of a newly calculated remote setpoint differs from the current setpoint by less than this parameter the setpoint value will be set to a heavily averaged value of the analog input. This parameter may be used to keep the setpoint from fluctuating from noise on the analog input.
